Kyushu University promotes international academic exchange by establishing agreements with universities closely aligned in academic specialties across different schools. Based on the agreements, Student Exchange Programs – Faculty Level is an international student exchange program allowing students to study at the partner institutions for up to one year. Students maintain their enrollment status at Kyushu University, pay their regular tuition, and can potentially transfer credits earned abroad after approval from their home faculty.

Application Guidelines

Application Requirements

①Enrollment in a regular program at School of Science, Graduate School of Science, or Graduate School of Systems Life Sciences at Kyushu University. (Those who plan to graduate or withdraw during the study abroad period are not eligible.)
②Those who have the language proficiency specified by the partner institution.
③Those who are recognized as academically excellent. (Internal standard: GPA 2.5)

② Study plan (specified format)
③ Transcripts *Graduate students must also submit transcripts from their undergraduate studies. *Students who have just enrolled must submit transcripts once they are available.
④ Proof of English proficiency (Guidelines) National Taiwan University: TOEFL iBT 79 or higher or IELTS overall 5.5 or higher National Cheng Kung University: TOEFL iBT 72 or higher or IELTS overall 5.5 or higher ※Even if the scores are below the above requirements, dispatch may be possible in some cases.
