Improve Language Skills

Language acquisition is essential for study abroad and international exchange. If you wish to study abroad at an English-speaking university or in an English language program, you must submit the required TOEFL iBT® or IELTS score.

Kyushu University offers an array of services to help you improve your language skills. In addition to taking foreign language courses to improve your language skills, you can also increase your exposure to foreign languages by participating in activities such as SALC, Language Table, and EZ Plat, where you can practice your English or other language conversation.

Engaging with International Students

Why not engage in international exchange right here at Kyushu University? For those interested in international activities or studying abroad, interacting with international students and experiencing foreign languages and cultures can be incredibly beneficial.

Kyushu University currently hosts over 2,650 international students. To help new international students smoothly transition to life in Fukuoka and at Kyushu University, Kyushu University students act as “tutors” or “supporters,” assisting with various procedures and providing guidance around the campus and Fukuoka city. By becoming a tutor, you can experience study abroad from the opposite perspective and often form long-lasting and strong friendships with international students.
