This is a short-term study abroad program conducted in English, jointly organized by Kyushu University and leading universities in ASEAN member countries, designed to study ASEAN, East Asia, and Asian languages and cultures.
Together with participants from overseas universities—primarily from ASEAN countries—students will learn about social issues, religion, and culture in the ASEAN and East Asian regions through group work, field trips, and cultural experiences. Since all classes are conducted in English and English is required for communication among participants, this program is also effective for improving English proficiency. By exchanging ideas with peers of the same generation who come from diverse backgrounds and hold different values, students can deepen their mutual understanding and develop a global perspective.
