2025 Second Session Knowledge Community: “Understanding Fukuoka City's ‘Global Position’”

Is being top in Japan not enough?
We will host a knowledge community session titled “Understanding Fukuoka City’s ‘Global Position’”.

So… where does Fukuoka rank globally?
Fukuoka City boasts top rankings domestically in many indicators, such as population growth and desirable cities to live in, making it a nationally prominent city. But what is ‘Fukuoka’s’ position in the world? Where does it rank globally?

Using data from the URC-published book “The ‘Third Pole’ City 2025,” which clarifies Fukuoka City’s global position, we will introduce its global standing, strengths, and weaknesses. We will explore the potential for Fukuoka City, aiming to be a “city of character and stature chosen by the world,” to evolve into a “Leading City in Asia.”
