    Study Abroad Fairs and Information Sessions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The Study Abroad Fair is an event for all Kyushu University students, showcasing both long-term and short-term study abroad programs. In addition to program introductions, you can hear firsthand experiences from fellow Kyushu University students who have studied abroad. There will also be individual study abroad consultations, IELTS and TOEFL seminars, and various other sessions. Parents are also welcome to attend, and we look forward to seeing you there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Study Abroad Fair at Ito Campus<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Twice a year, in April and October, Kyushu University holds a Study Abroad Fair at the Ito Campus for all students. The fair provides information on various study abroad programs, experiences shared by students who have studied abroad, and seminars on TOEFL and IELTS. Parents are also welcome to attend, and we look forward to seeing you there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Study Abroad Fair at Chikushi Campus<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    The Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences will hold the “Study Abroad Fair” at Chikushi Campus for its students. The event for the 2026 academic year will take place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    GPA and Language Scores<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    GPA and language scores are crucial for studying abroad, especially for exchange programs. Different study abroad programs may have specific requirements, so be sure to check these in advance. For University-Level exchange programs, a GPA below 2.5 will disqualify you from participating. The minimum required English scores for University-Level Exchange Programs are TOEFL iBT 65 or IELTS 5.0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Improve Language Skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Language acquisition is essential for study abroad and international exchange. If you wish to study abroad at an English-speaking university or in an English language program, you must submit the required TOEFL iBT\u00ae or IELTS score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Kyushu University offers an array of services to help you improve your language skills. In addition to taking foreign language courses to improve your language skills, you can also increase your exposure to foreign languages by participating in activities such as SALC, Language Table, and EZ Plat, where you can practice your English or other language conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Kyushu University currently hosts over 2,650 international students. To help new international students smoothly transition to life in Fukuoka and at Kyushu University, Kyushu University students act as “tutors” or “supporters,” assisting with various procedures and providing guidance around the campus and Fukuoka city. By becoming a tutor, you can experience study abroad from the opposite perspective and often form long-lasting and strong friendships with international students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4<\/span>Post-Acceptance Procedures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    After acceptance, be sure to attend all the guidance sessions as instructed and promptly complete the necessary procedures. You will need to arrange your visa and passport, secure housing, obtain travel insurance, set up a bank account and credit card, purchase airline tickets, and submit the necessary study abroad and travel notifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5<\/span>Departure and Life Abroad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Embrace the opportunity to actively participate in classes and activities, making the most of experiences unique to your host country. During your time abroad, it’s crucial to stay connected with Kyushu University for safety reasons. Ensure that you can be reached by Kyushu University in case of emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6<\/span>After Returning Home<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    After returning home, take time to reflect on your experiences and share them with your juniors. You will have opportunities to compile your study abroad report, share your stories at various events, or post about your experiences on social media. Use the knowledge and experiences you gained abroad to inspire others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The credits you earned at your host university can be applied for recognition by your school or graduate school upon your return. If approved, they will be transferred as credits earned at Kyushu University. To do this, promptly submit the credit transfer application form, your transcript from the host university, and the syllabi of the courses you took to your Academic Affairs Office. If your credits are approved, you will receive a credit approval notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
